Details continue to spill out regarding Apple’s streaming service.

Apple Music will cost £9.99 per month in the UK, and the service’s 90-day trial starts whenever a customer registers, sources have told Music Business Worldwide.

Apple had not previously disclosed whether the trial period would start for everyone when it launches on June 30 or if customers would be able to pick and choose when to take advantage of it.

This could be a positive thing for rights holders – there were previously fears from independent label groups that a “black hole” could be punched in music industry revenue through the summer if Apple had chosen to make the trial period the same across the board.

MBW also reports that Apple Music will cost £9.99 per month in the UK. It means the UK gets a slightly worse deal than the US, but it’s still in line with Spotify, which doesn’t apply a currency exchange on its subscription prices either.

Apple Music launches on June 30. When it arrives you’ll also be able to listen to Beats 1 radio, which will feature shows from Elton John and Jaden Smith among others.
