Slit Jockey ready 10 Years Of Grime retrospective

Longstanding US grime outpost Slit Jockey are celebrating a decade in business with a new retrospective compilation. 10 Years Of Grime collects 38 tracks from the label’s history. Founded in Philadelphia by Starkey, Dev79 and El Carnicero in 2005, Slit Jockey is the self-proclaimed first American grime label.

The new compilation captures moments from the label’s early days up until the present. Producers such as J Beatz, Mr. Mitch, Shiftee, Numan and Mella Dee sit alongside seasoned grime veterans like J Sweet and Wonder. A Rustie remix of 8Bitch’s ‘G41’ is also included. On the vocal front, Riko, Trim, MIK and bassline MC Slick Don all appear.
