Who better to nail the sound of a London summer than grime hero and Tottenham ambassador JME?

As part of its non-stop party tour of the world’s best festivals, Pepsi Max has teamed up with Noisey to challenge some of the finest musicians around to create the ultimate soundtrack to summer in their city – from scratch, in just 48 hours. In this episode, JME – who headlined the Pepsi Max stage at this year’s Wireless festival – takes on the challenge.

The Boy Better Know star turned his car into a makeshift studio and zipped round the city to rustle up a brand new 14-minute tape with a slew of the city’s most talented underground musicians and MCs – plus a few random surprises along the way.

Watch JME take up the challenge in the video below, and stream his 48 Hour Mixtape – featuring Poet, Felix, Miraa May, Vujanic and Shakka – over at Noisey.

After hitting London for Wireless earlier this month, the series travels to Manchester for Creamfields on August 29-30 and Oslo for Øya on August 11-15. Stay tuned for the next episode and more summer sounds from Manchester.
