Soon you’ll be able to relive the group’s 3D shows at home.
Kraftwerk are to translate their visual shows into a “3D album”, set to be released in late autumn on Blu-ray.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, sole original member Ralf Hütter said: “We translated our performances to 3D, and in surround sound, kind of like 3D sound.
“We’ve put a lot of work into all the images, transforming from our Kling Klang archives into 3D format and arranging it synchronized with the music, so it’s quite a lot of production.”
The performances come from the group’s recent 3D tour, which travelled to venues including London’s Tate Modern, the Sydney Opera House and Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Kraftwerk recently announced a string of European dates for their 3D tour, visiting smaller cities in Germany, France and beyond. [via Mixmag]
