Following a pair of EPs as Lodger for Stamp Records, Sheffield’s Alex Buchan has switched aliases for his next release.

The Slender EP contains three tracks under his Al Zanders persona, each of them strong enough to lead an EP of its own if you ask us.

Along with the sweat-slicked deep house of the title track and the rickety soul of ‘Let Me Be Lonely’, the centrepiece ‘I Don’t Want You To Judge’ is a scuffed up, dreamy and bongo-adorned house cut that makes us think of Leon Vynehall’s fresh yet nostalgic approach, with a soulful vocal chopped up in throwback MPC style.
