UK promoters Mute will celebrate their second birthday with a pair of shows in London and Brighton.

The London leg takes place south of the river at Lightbox on November 13 and centres around a series of back-to-back sets. Deep Medi heavy hitters Commodo and Gantz will go dub for dub, as do two generations of grime vinyl heads in scene original Slimzee and up-and-comer Riz La Teef.

Her Records’ Sudanim and MM play back-to-back with Purple Tape Pedigree’s Geng, while Bristol’s Bandulu-associated Sector 7 is represented by Hi5 Ghost, Boofy and Lemzly Dale. Elsewhere on the bill, there’s sets from DJ Nedwyt Fox, Akito, Mungo and Markings.

The full line-up for the Brighton show at Patterns on November 20 is a simpler affair: four of Bristol’s top dogs in one room, as Livity Sound’s Pev(erelist) and Kowton play back-to-back with Kahn and Neek all night. That promises to be pretty special
