Japanophile and Hessle Audio ambassador Ben UFO was among the dozens of artists and DJs who flew in to Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo last year to stuff their brains with knowledge and then erase it all with sake.

At the Stratovolcanic Vinyl party at Aoyama Tunnel, the UK DJ went head to head with DJ Nobu, a seasoned Japanese techno selector who runs the Future Terror night in his hometown of Chiba, for an all-night set of often dark, occasionally bizarre selections to satisfy both mind and feet.

A two-hour excerpt of their set is now available to stream on RBMA Radio. If you need more Ben UFO – and why wouldn’t you? – try his three-hour set from Osaka’s Circus club. (If you can’t get any sound out of it, try a different browser!)

This year’s Red Bull Music Academy kicks off in Paris next week with participants including Sevdaliza, Suicideyear, Drippin and Toxe.
