Questlove has written his third book.
The Roots drummer and former fried chicken restaurant owner is exploring his love of food in his latest project, speaking to chefs, restaurateurs and experts about innovation in the kitchen.
Something to Food About: Exploring Creativity with America’s Most Innovative Chefs will arrive on April 16, 2016, according to its Amazon pre-order page, and is co-authored with Ben Greenman, who also worked with Questlove on his autobiography Mo’ Meta Blues.
Featuring conversations with Modernist Cuisine’s Nathan Myhrvold and French celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre, among others, the book is described as an extension to the “food salons” that Questlove has been hosting in recent years, a dinner party where award-winning chefs collaborate on creating a meal.
Questlove’s previous book chronicled the long-running US television show Soul Train. He’s also recently been hired as executive music producer for a remake of the 1970s miniseries Roots, which explores the history of American slavery through the story of Kunta Kinte. [via Rolling Stone]
