The brains behind dozens of your favourite film scores has announced his first tour.

Hans Zimmer has written soundtracks for more classic movies than we can list, from Rain Man, Gladiator and The Last Samurai to a string of Christopher Nolan films like Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy – not forgetting his Oscar-winning music for The Lion King.

After testing the water with a couple of dates at London’s Hammersmith Apollo last year, the German composer has now announced his very first tour, kicking off at Wembley Arena (!) in London on April 16, 2016.

“Performing a tour like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that the time has finally come,” Zimmer explained in a press release. “I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before.”

The 18-date European tour finishes at Sofia’s Stadthalle in Bulgaria on May 16 – see the full itinerary below and check out the tour teaser video. [via CoS]
