Austrian turntable purveyor Pro-Ject has unveiled a new high-speed machine that cleans vinyl and shellac records “approximately three times faster” than technology that has come before it.

The Vinyl Cleaner VC-S is said to clean a record with two, two-second rotations, with best results coming from one forward and one backward. Labels are protected by a waterproof clamp. Retailing at £295.00 (€449,00), it is also one of the better-priced machines on the market.
