The R.E.M. frontman performs on The Tonight Show

This week a long list of musicians gather at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall for a pair of tribute concerts in honor of David Bowie.

One of the biggest names at both concerts is R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe. To promote the shows he made a rare live appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night to cover Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold The World’. Stipe’s version is whisper quiet and intimately paired with just a pianist. Watch above.
