The LA Lakers star was given a wild send-off last night.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea played a bass guitar rendition of the US national anthem last night (April 13) at Kobe Bryant’s final game for the LA Lakers, which was attended by Kanye West wearing a novelty The Life Of Pablo t-shirt.

Flea – who once likened Bryant to “John Coltrane or Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix… He’s been able to change and evolve and grow and be such a master of his craft” – performed the anthem on centre court at theStaples Center event, which tickets to were reportedly selling for up to $27,500. Watch the performance below.

Kanye paid tribute in his own way, attending the game in a t-shirt based on the “I FEEL LIKE PABLO” design he wore at his The Life Of Pablo album launch, but with a Kobe spin.

The basketball star’s final game saw him end on a high, scoring a spectacular 60 points to help the LA Lakers to victory against the Utah Jazz in Los Angeles.
