Update April 21: You can watch Lemonade for free this weekend.

HBO will make the documentary available to stream for free from Friday until Monday, as part of a 48-hour trial period.

Update April 19: Lemonade will reportedly be an hour-long documentary in the style of 2013’s Life is But a Dream.

According to USA Today, an anonymous HBO executive has revealed that this is not a music video, but a long form piece about the singer. Still no word if there will be new music of videos, or when her next album will be released.

The minute-long sequence features a montage of scenes, with Bey and dancers in various costumes – another visual album? Whatever it is, it premieres on HBO this Saturday, April 23.

‘Formation’ levels of excitement.

A teaser trailer for Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ has appeared on YouTube billing itself as a “world premiere event.” It is scheduled for broadcast on HBO on Saturday, April 23 at 9PM EST.

In February, the pop star surprised released ‘Formation’ ahead of her Super Bowl performance sending shockwaves across the world and triggering responses from police unions.

Whether or not ‘Lemonade’ is just a new track or something more, we’ll have to wait to find out. Beyoncé’s new album, her last under her current deal with Columbia, is supposed to see an April release and her Formation world tour kicks off on April 27.
