Kanye West will be honored with the Special Achievement Award at this year’s Webby Awards for his “contributions to internet culture.”

The specifics of those contributions are tied with the success of his album The Life Of Pablo, the first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts based primarily on streaming.

Kanye has “leveraged the immense influence and addictive elements of streaming media to drive innovation on the Internet,” Webby Awards executive director David-Michel Davies said in a statement regarding the nomination.

A wide range of artists have been nominated for the award over the years including Björk, David Bowie, Prince, the Beastie Boys, LCD Soundsystem, Gorillaz, Trent Reznor, Frank Ocean, Grimes, David Byrne, and De La Soul.
