The Daniel Lopatin collaborator preps his startling new album.

New England sound artist Lee Tindall will release his new album as Belarisk this week. Tindall has been an active presence in the New England experimental scene through many projects including Astronaut, his project with
Andy Plovnick and Daniel Lopatin (better known as Oneohtrix Point Never).

Described as a marriage of “abrasive noise, abstract electronics and haunting ambience”, Moments In Shapeshifting moves between all three with a dreamlike fluidity that is captured best on the ‘The Hand That Bit Itself {Geist}’.

Beginning on static drones that push like waves, the track slowly sinks into hypnotic electronic melodies speckled with digital wear and tear. It’s the sonic equivalent of trying to keep ones head above water as foggy synths and low end swirls shift like currents. It builds to a final crescendo that could just as easily be the sound of a rescue or a drowning — either way it’s a beautiful release that you’ll welcome with open arms.

Listen to ‘The Hand That Bit Itself {Geist}’ below and pre-order Moments In Shapeshifting through Type (a record label inndependently operated by FACT’s John Twells) before it’s June 17 release.
