Spatial preps another EP of bass-heavy material.

Matt Spendlove’s forward-thinking bass mutations have been mangling our brains since way back in 2008, and now he returns with the third part of his excellent Emergence series of EPs.

Again released on Spatial’s own Infrasonics label, Emergence #3 features two brittle, rumbling club constructions that sound something like a mid-point between Autechre and Shackleton, and that’s no bad thing.

You can check out the record’s bizarre generative artwork over at Spendlove’s website.

Emergence #3 is out on September 27.

FACT TV interviewed Spatial at this year’s MUTEK Montreal, where he shed light on his ear-battering live show.

Tracklist:

A: ‘Rainbow Table’
AA: ‘Black Sand’
