Composers Erik Skodvin and Otto A. Totland will revisit their chilling debut as Deaf Center with a new reissue of the album Pale Ravine through Miasmah Records.

Originally released in 2005 on Type (a label independently operated by FACT’s John Twells), Pale Ravine found Skodvin and Totland forming a potent brew of field recordings, classical motifs and thick drone. This new pressing of the album expands the release to two LPs, bringing sections of the album to vinyl only previously included in the original CD release. The new pressing also adds 20 minutes of unreleased material from the same recording era.

Though Deaf Center still occasionally releases great mixes, it has been five years since their last album, Owl Splinters.

Pale Ravine will be out October 28. Head to Morr Music to preorder it and hear samples of the tracks.
