The band’s first album since 2013’s Delta Machine.
Synth-pop veterans Depeche Mode have announced their 14th album, Spirit, will be released in spring of 2017.
“We’re exceptionally proud of Spirit’s sound and energy, and we’re excited to get back on tour to share it with our fans around the world,” frontman Dave Gahan said in a statement.
True to that promise, Gahan and company are planning a massive world tour for next year. In addition to playing in over 20 countries including a headlining slot at Portugal’s Nos Alive festival, the band have enlisted iconic photographer Anton Corbijn to contribute visuals and art to both the album and tour.
