“I know there’s a lot of weird folks out there,” Chance tells his hero.

Chance The Rapper extended a prayer to his “big brother Kanye West” on BBC Radio 1Xtra today following Kanye’s reported hospitalisation hours after cancelling the rest of the Saint Pablo tour.

The Chicago rapper and his band The Social Experiment are on tour in the UK this week, and dropped into Trevor Nelson’s studio to perform Coloring Book track ‘All We Got’ and a cover of Drake’s ‘Feel No Ways’.

During the former, Chance sent a message to Kanye, saying: “I want to extend a special prayer to my big brother Kanye West. I know there’s a lot of weird folks out there but you already know that I’m a hundred grand. I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain. We might come home early to see this. Happy Thanksgiving.”

Listen to the session on BBC iPlayer from around 2hrs 15m. Chance plays a sold-out show in London tonight as part of the Magnificent Coloring World Tour.

Kanye is said to be being treated for exhaustion in hospital after Los Angeles police responded to a call made by his doctor in West Hollywood, which then grew into a “medical emergency.” He was taken to UCLA “for his own health and safety,” according to reports. [via Fader]
