More names are still being identified.

Artists Cherushii and Nackt, real names Chelsea Faith Dolan and Johnny Igaz, are two of the latest victims identified in the wake of the Oakland’s devastating fire last Friday during a concert at DIY venue Ghost Ship. Both producers were known for releases on 100% Silk and were booked to perform the night of the fire.

Dolan first appeared on the label with her Queen Of Cup 12″ in 2013, she followed that in 2015 with another 12″ and the album Memory Of Water. A very active producer, much of her work can be heard here. In a Facebook tribute, 100% Silk-alum Maria Minerva revealed her and Dolan were working on an EP together which she will attempt to finish herself with the intention to donate the proceeds to Dolan’s family. She was 33.

Igaz, an Oakland-based producer released his debut for the label, Virex, last year, but frequently self-released material on Bandcamp throughout the year. His most recent release, Scheherazade (The City Freer), appeared less than two weeks before his death. He was 34.

Investigators have continued to identify victims and search for a cause to the fire. Only the names of 26 victims have been disclosed. Earlier today, Alameda County Sheriff Gregory Ahern said some appliances near the back of the art space may have been the cause of the fire, but are still looking into the specific cause.
