Security got it wrong-wr-wrong-wrong wrong.

A man posing as R&B singer Sisqó reportedly gatecrashed several New York Fashion Week shows and parties.

The imposter managed to bluff his way into Philipp Plein, Vivienne Tam and Kanye West’s events, even sitting in the front row and posing for photographers, reports Page Six.

The sham Sisqó, who bleached his hair to mimic the ‘Thong Song’ star’s trademark 90s do and sported a gold-trim Versace suit, was even heard bragging to fashionistas about performing at Meatpacking District celebrity haunt Up&Down until the early hours this week.

He was finally rumbled when he tried to talk his way onto a wealthy New Yorker’s private jet heading to the Caribbean and gave his passport details for the flight. The document revealed his real name as Gavin Barnes, born in 1986.

A source told Page Six, “This guy was 13 when Sisqó’s ‘Thong Song’ came out in 2000”.

Barnes denied that he was masquerading as the singer, putting it down to a case of mistaken identity.

“I never said I was Sisqó. People thought I was him, and that wasn’t cool,” he said.

Sisqó is currently touring and was performing in Las Vegas this week. “It’s flattering, I guess,” his manager said when reached for comment.
