Step into Stones Throw Studios with this film on the illustrious LA label

Celebrating two decades of hip-hop gold.

LA labels don’t come much better than Stones Throw, who for 20 years now have been releasing music from the cutting edge of rap: from Madlib and MF DOOM’s classic Madvillain to more recent gems from the likes of Nxworries and Mndsgn, theirs is a catalogue full of picks that no hip-hop head should be without.

But where does the magic happen? Glad you asked. We headed to the imprint’s Highland Park HQ for our latest short film, speaking to label founder Peanut Butter Wolf and other faces from the Stones Throw fam, including 808 hero Egyptian Lover, Karriem Riggins and Sudan Archives, as we unravel their legacy to date. Watch it below now.
