When grime emerged the first time, the US wasn’t ready.

Now it feels like there’s something in the air – it’s a different world, and new social platform Crowdmix has put together a short documentary about the grime phenomenon in the US.

Based around SBTV’s well-attended showcase at this year’s SXSW in Austin, the documentary features performances from Skepta, Stormzy and more, and interviews with Zane Lowe, Lethal Bizzle, Ghetts, Krept & Konan, Jamal Edwards and others.

Whether the genre will actually make the dent on the US music scene it’s expected to remains to be seen, but there’s no denying the crew’s impact on SXSW this year.
