Hip-hop masked man (MF) DOOM will headline London’s HMV Forum on October 12.

DOOM, originally from New York, is one of hip-hop’s most mythologised figures. A former member of cult rap group KMD, he disappeared from the limelight after the shelving of KMD’s second album, Black Bastards, and the death of his brother DJ Subroc. In the late 1990s, he reemerged, releasing the classic Operation Doomsday, and following it with a decade of activity that included perhaps his greatest work, Madvilliany (a collaborative album with Madlib).

Madlib, in fact, will support DOOM on this date, performing with regular collaborator Freddie Gibbs and Stones Throw’s J Rocc. He’ll be performing cuts from his recent Medicine Show series of albums. Further support comes from Jneiro Jarel (currently working on a collaborative album with DOOM, under the name JJ DOOM), Dels, Jehst, Illum Sphere, Kutmah and more.
