Later next month, party starters Get Low will be heading to Brixton for a good old summer knees-up.

On August 11, the Boogie Nights collective will team up with Get Low in Brixton’s Plan B for a a selection of funk, disco, house and rare groove. The blurb promises “sweets and whistles, horns, hats and jive bunnies”, so it’s definitely not going to be a restrained affair. DJs will include Ed Word, Larry Sun, and Get Low Cartel. The night runs from 9.00pm until 5.00am.

In the interim, Get Low have a few notable dates coming up. This Sunday July 29, Camden’s Lock Tavern will welcome recent FACT New Talent South London Ordnance. He’ll be joined by Trevino, formerly known as d’n’b producer Marcus Intalex, for a session of screwed House music, and “one man party bus” DJ Smash Hits. August 4, meanwhile, will welcome Rudimental and the Get Low Cartel to Norwich’s Kartel. De-Vide, Dash & Mike Driver and Zee (the latter playing a trap set) will also feature.
