Shortly after signing to Epic earlier this year, Sacramento’s most abrasive sons embarked on an intense burst of activity.

New album Money Store, a hefty world tour, and a brain-melting .gif loop sampler saw the trio ratchet up their ambitions severalfold – and reach a far larger audience in the process.

Now, along with announcing their involvement in this year’s Adult Swim singles series, the band have revealed the details of their second album of the year, NO LOVE DEEP WEB.

In a statement, the band have said that the album is due out “most likely late October” through Epic. There are apparently “no manually programmed drums” on the record; all beats are played live by the band’s virtuosic sticksman Zach Hill (also of Hella). It will contain no “features, guest collabs or outside producers”, and is described as “cold, bass heavy, minimal [and] rock & roll influenced”.

There’s also talk of an international tour and Crispin Glover-directed video; he’ll have a lot to live up to given the band’s past form for low budget, high impact videos. You can watch the video for ‘Double Helix’, filmed entirely using the rearview camera in a Toyota Prius, below.
