Following on from this weekend’s Chairlift remix, here’s the second John Talabot dispatch of the day.

The Barcelona producer made serious waves with his muggy, sensuous, wonderfully ambiguous fIN LP at the start of the year. Opportunities are certainly opening up for Talabot: he’s heading to America  with The xx (something discussed in detail in a recent FACT interview), and he’s getting reworked by the likes of Bullion on a forthcoming remix EP.

As Playground note, Talabot is now set to issue a pair of offcuts from the fIN sessions on 7″. Credited to ‘JT’, the disc will be exclusively sold at Talabot’s US and European tour dates. Both the tracks, ‘Mai Mes’ and ‘Tragedial’, are previously unreleased, and fall well in line with fIN‘s inimitable brand of humid house.
