The Austin, TX club alchemist will release his next EP as a series of singles.

Dubbel Dutch will release ‘Self Help Riddim’ on October 23 via Mixpak, the first in a series of singles that will culminate with the release of the Self Help Riddims EP in 2013.

According to Mixpak, “this new body of work draws inspiration from dub and dancehall reggae, ethereal grime, and pop music of the African diaspora. In a climate dominated by sparse, dystopian tracks, Self Help Riddims EP represents a yearning for a warmer, more spiritual side of music.”

For a sense of what that means, Dubbel Dutch has assembled a minimix (below) featuring some of his new material, along with exclusive remixes. Tonight, Dubbel Dutch will join his Mixpak compatriots Jubilee and Dre Skull in Brooklyn with special guests — and Miami bass legends — 69 Boyz.
