Dr. Dre tops Forbes' list of the world's highest paid musicians

Forbes releases its annual list, and Dr. Dre is in first place.

As expected, producer/headphone salesman (or should those be reversed?) Dr. Dre tops Forbes’ annual list of the world’s highest paid musicians; Mr. Young was #5 on the overall celebrity list released over the summer, thanks to selling off his share of Beats by Dre.

Otherwise, the top of the list is dominated by the usual suspects: aging rockers like Roger Waters, Elton John, U2, and Bon Jovi, and pop stars Take That, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, and Justin Bieber (who is tied with country singer Toby Keith at #10).

Interesting bits: Beyoncé ($40m) brought home more than husband Jay-Z ($38m), Rihanna bested Lady Gaga ($53m to $52m), and despite all the talk of roads paved with EDM gold, no electronic artists made the top 25. The full list is below, via Consequence of Sound.
