Barcelona festival Sonar has announced a new batch of acts for 2013.

One of Europe’s most talked about festivals, Sonar takes place from June 13 to 15 and is split into two events: Sonar by Day, which takes place across four different venues close to Barcelona’s MACBA museum and Sonar by Night, which takes place at a colossal four-room hanger further fron the city’s centre. Generally speaking, Sonar by Day is a more live-orientated affair while Sonar by Night is more DJ-based, but as with any festival of this size there’s a lot of crossover between the two.

We already knew that electronic innovators Kraftwerk would be premiering a new 3D audiovisual show at Sonar 2013; the group recently caused the Tate Modern’s website to break through demand for their recently-announced residency in the Turbine Hall. Vatican Shadow, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Lindstrom and Todd Terje and Two Door Cinema Club were also early confirmations.

Today’s announcement includes the addition of new Warp act Darkstar, who will be releasing their sophomore album News From Nowhere in the coming months, US dance music up-and-comer Baauer, Spanish indie-trance troupe Delorean, Foreign Beggars, Gold Panda, Hot Natured (a.k.a. Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C and Ali Love), restless rockers Liars, Mykki Blanco, Maceo Plex, Karenn (a.k.a. Pariah and Blawan, above), Adrian Sherwood & Pinch and a live show from the ever-divisive Nicolas Jaar.
