Rinse FM will continue their long-running mix CD series with a session from Hyperdub supervisor Kode9.

The label – our second favourite imprint of 2012, incidentally – has forged increasingly strong links with the London-based station in the last 12 months, launching the regular Hyperdub show and releasing albums from Rinse favourites like DVA and Terror Danjah. Kode9’s mix will appear on May 13, and apparently shows “the direction his iconic label Hyperdub will be taking in 2013 and his own development as a producer”. Rinse will also pan a little further afield with an instalment from Hot Creations’ Richy Ahmed. The Newcastle DJ’s mix will follow in June, and promises an emphasis on house and disco.

As announced earlier this week, Kode9 will release ‘Xingfu Lu’/’Kan’- his first single in two years – in April. Kode9 has also been assiduously uploading classic mixes onto his Soundcloud – head here to listen to over 25 mixes, dating back as far as 2002.
