The second in a series of three free releases in the runup to Major Lazer’s upcoming Free The Universe LP this latest features guest appearances from Flosstradamus, Baauer and more.

Diplo must have a fairly comprehensive phone book at this stage in his career, so it’s hardly surprising that he’s managed to rope in so many favours for this triptych of free releases. Lazer Strikes Back Vol.2 leads off with a remix of ‘Original Don’ from versatile Chicago duo Flosstradamus who turn in a nicely spannered bass-heavy monster of a track, but it’s the inclusion of current man-of-the-moment Baauer that’s likely to get the internet into meltdown. Here the ‘Harlem Shake’ producer is joined on ‘Talk ‘Bout Me’ by Popcaan, who appears to share a similar love of the letter A and between them they add a bit of Caribbean flavour to those familiar synth stings.
