Speculation over whether or not David Bowie will tour in 2013 continues to rage.

A brief potted history: long-time Bowie producer Tony Visconti decisively scotched suggestions that a The Next Day tour was in the offing, claiming Bowie was “fairly adamant he’s never gonna perform live again”. A few days later, Visconti offered a more measured reading, suggesting that a tour could happen after all. Bowie guitarist Earl Slick the claimed he “wouldn’t be surprised if he toured and I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t tour.”, and fellow axeman Gerry Leonard subsequently said he thought chances of a tour were “50-50”.

As NME report, Bowie’s wife Iman has (perhaps inadvertently) added more fuel to the fire. Speaking to Grazia, the model and actress intimated that a Bowie tour is, at the very least, on the agenda. Describing their family set-up, Iman said the following:

We have a 12 year old in school, so we are stuck, we can’t travel. Our schedule is around her, so I don’t know. We’ll have to go visit him, but we won’t be on tour with him because she’s in school.

The Next Day is out now.
