Phoenix aren’t skimping on the extras on the bonus edition of their forthcoming Bankrupt! LP.

The Versailles band will release the follow-up to 2009’s mega-successful Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix next month. Things we already knew: the record will feature chirpy lead single ‘Entertainment’, and was recorded on the same mixing desk as Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Things we now know: the bonus double-disc version of the album is, frankly, ridiculous.

As Pitchfork report, the expanded version of Bankrupt! will feature 71 tracks’ worth of unreleased material. The supplementary collection of “demos and sketches” runs to over an hour, whereas the album itself only clocks in at 41 minutes. The bumper edition is available to pre-order from iTunes now.

Bankrupt! is due on April 22 on Glassnote. Phoenix will headline this year’s Coachella Festival.
