Since 2011, the Independent Label Market has been bringing together some of the world’s best record labels to ply their wares in a perfect setting – on a market stall.

Now the market is set to move North, and is heading to Glasgow’s Barras Art & Design Centre on Saturday October 12 and typically there’s going to be quite the entourage. LuckyMe, Chemikal Underground, Rubadub, Numbers, Soma, The Vinyl Factory, Optimo and plenty more have made plans to pass on their goodies to the general public, and the festivities don’t stop there.

The day will be soundtracked by a troupe of Scotland’s finest, with swoonsome indie darlings Belle & Sebastian taking to the decks along with Edwyn Collins, JD Twitch and the Numbers and Rubadub DJs. It sounds to us like the record obsessive’s equivalent to a day at the fun-fair – you know what to do.
