With osmotic fervour, Pharrell Williams continues to fill every vacant cultural cranny.

Pharrell was already expected to be troubling the Oscars red carpet, on account of being among the nominees for Best Original Song. As The Hollywood Reporter note, the former Neptune will also now be gracing the stage, performing his chart-topping bowls anthem ‘Happy’.

Pharrells contenders for the award are Karen O and Spike Jonze’s ‘The Moon Song’, from Jonze’s film Her, and U2 for their contribution to Mandela, the song ‘Ordinary Love’.

The performance follows Pharrell’s Grammys appearance, where he wore a hat, and prefaces his Brits turn, where he’ll wear something else.
