Oneohtrix Point Never to release 12" of commissioned work for Record Store Day

From the sound of it, Commissions I is not exactly 26 Mixes For Cash.

Along with his work as Oneohtrix Point Never, Daniel Lopatin has done his share of commissioned music for art, film, and performance. On Record Store Day, Warp will collect three such compositions as Commissions I, on 12” in black foil jacket.

The single includes ‘Music For Steamed Rocks’ (which interprets Witold Lutoslawski’s Preludes for Sacrum Profanum), ‘Meet Your Creator’ (used in Quadrotor’s Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase performance), and his cover of ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’ (used in Doug Aitken’s SONG 1 installation).

The cover art and a stream of ‘Music For Steamed Rocks’ are below. Our friends at The Vinyl Factory ran down what we know so far about Record Store Day 2014.
