Morrissey details the follow-up to 2009’s Years of Refusal.

Taking a break from writing open letters bashing the Royal Family, meat-eaters and Obama, the much-loved, yet much-despised singer has announced that his next record will be titled World Peace Is None Of Your Business.

The album is due out on his new label home Harvest this June or July, according to the reliable fansite/mouthpiece True To You, and comprises 12 tracks all produced by Joe Chiccarelli, previously at the controls for records by The Strokes, Tori Amos and The Shins. Morrissey is said to be “beyond ecstatic” with it.

World Peace… will follow a pair of U.S. gigs featuring support from big-chested sex god Tom Jones and decrepit oldies favourite Cliff Richard.

Fans of Morrissey’s oeuvre include Liverpudlian techno bod John Heckle, who recently eulogised The Smiths’ Hatful of Hollow for FACT’s My Favourite Record feature series.
