DJ Manny

The Teklife regular turns a soul classic into a sunblasted juke track.

Chicago footworker DJ Manny was a frequent collaborator with the late-great DJ Rashad. On ‘Sunshine’, DJ Manny flips Roy Ayers’ ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’ into an equally soulful footwork track.

‘Sunshine’ is the lead single off Manny’s first proper LP, Tek Files Vol. 1. The album will be released soon on an edition of 100 cassettes by Hoko Sounds, a Pittsburgh-based label run by Clay Colonna, who met Manny at Pittsburgh’s VIA Festival in 2012.
