The band’s “will they / won’t they” game continues.

Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has confirmed that the band will begin rehearsing and recording again this year. On her BBC6 Music show, Greenwood told Mary Anne Hobbes, “We’re going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it’s sounding.”

However, members of the band have announced similar plans before with nothing to show for it, and bassist Colin Greenwood said earlier this year that plans for the follow-up to 2011’s King of Limbs were “up in the air.”

Since the release of that album, Thom Yorke has busied himself with Atoms for Peace, Johnny has continued his side gig as a composer, Colin has made his debut solo performance, drummer Philip Selway has announced a solo album… and Radiohead has released an app. [via NME]
