Lit City Trax introduces Drippin with Silver Cloak; listen to the menacing 'Kyoto'

The New York label continues a year of excellent releases.

Next up from J-Cush’s Lit City Trax imprint: Norwegian newcomer Drippin (aka Erik Spanne). His seven-track Silver Cloak EP is perfect for fans of instrumental grime’s more metallic side, or the club constructions of Fade to Mind and Gang Fatale; the latter’s Neana features on ‘IDONO’.

Drippin has now shared ‘Kyoto’, which you can stream below. “I was trying to make a song that was both hard and soft at the same time,” Drippin writes. “I wanted it to be a very simple idea that makes sense in the club but also is fun to play out.”

A simple idea, executed brilliantly. Along with ‘Kyoto’, that’s the stunning cover art (by Alberto Troia) above; the tracklist follows. Silver Cloak is due out on November 11 via Lit City Trax. Earlier this year, FACT’s Chal Ravens investigated Norway’s new wave of electronic artists.
