Darko Esser’s debut full length as Tripeo last year, Anipintiros, slid through hypnotic techno until the penultimate ‘#7,’ when the Dutch producer tossed in a healthy dose of acid. Though the original featured a gentle build before fully opening the floodgates, a new remix by Mike Parker brings the squelches in earlier, but turns down the heat slightly to bring the song into a tense hypnotic simmer.

The track appears on Anipintiros Reworks: Part 1 the first of a pair of EPs due February 2 which feature remixes from Blawan, James Ruskin, and more. Listen to the track below and read a statement from Esser on putting this release together:

“When I started to think about the remixes for the Tripeo album, I didn’t completely expect it to turn out like this. I asked 6 techno producers whom I admire a lot for their body of work and whom I consider friends to sink their teeth into the original material. To my surprise all of them said yes. They delivered 6 gems with each their own distinct sound signature and with great respect to the originals. I feel honoured and blessed to be able to show the world these 2 (vinyl only) twelve inches filled with lush, timeless techno.”
