The Bay Area techno producer will release Homesick in July.

Having made his name as one of the Bay Area’s most exciting house and techno producers with releases on Unknown To The Unknown, Dekmantel, Spectral Sound and more, Matrixxman has announced details of his debut album for Ghostly International.

Rather than just delivering a series of 4/4 dancefloor tools, the producer has taken Homesick as an opportunity to combine his interests in A.I., interplanetary travel, neuroenhancement drugs and a host of futuristic concepts alongside his love of hardware production and techno’s heritage.

“We will have the technological capability to fully map out a human brain in its entirety within 30 years,” explains the producer of the theme of evolutionary transcendence running throughout the album. “The implications of such a possibility are deep and far reaching. We will be crossing a rubicon towards a new phase in human consciousness. I am one person that is prepared to take that step.”

Homesick will be released on July 10 – before then you can get a taste of the album with the rippling cybernetic textures of ‘Augmented’ streaming below, or revisit FACT TV’s interview with the producer when they caught up with him at SXSW.
