Dean Hurley has worked behind the scenes for many different projects. Most notably he was the music supervisor and and sound mixer for David Lynch‘s final film, Inland Empire and later worked with Lynch on his two albums. He also co-produced Zola Jesus‘ Taiga and mixed Dirty Beaches‘ final album, Stateless. Now Hurley has released Days of Thunder & Rain, a free album of his own built primarily from old soul music samples.

The album is available for free through his website and comes with a music video directed by Nicholas Wurz and William Renton which you can watch below.
