Help bring a legendary slice of NYC hip-hop to life.

Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives is a documentary about the influential WKCR radio show. Hosted by local kids and rap fanatics Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia (aka Kool Bob Love and DJ Cucumber Slice), The Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito show ran from 1990 to 1998 and helped break the careers of countless rappers throughout the decade including Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Nas, Busta Rhymes and many more thanks to its now legendary freestyle sessions.

As part of a campaign to raise awareness for the documentary, the pair have been releasing archive recordings from the show over the past few months including a selection of the most memorable freestyles and rare Jay Z freestyles from 1995.

The documentary is finished and features interviews with many of the rappers whose lives were changed by the show, including Jay Z, Nas, Eminem and more. Now, Stretch & Bobbito have turned to Kickstarter to crowdsource the necessary money to release the documentary on DVD and digital formats. They’re nearly one fifth of the way through with one month to go.
