The singer has crushed the hopes of Radiohead fans everywhere.

Sam Smith has just become the front runner for the artist behind the next Bond theme, after tweeting a photo that dropped more than a sizeable hint at his involvement.

The photo is of a ring with the logo of Spectre, the criminal organisation that lends the next James Bond film its name. Smith had previously denied involvement in June, but it looks as if he may not have been entirely honest.

It was rumoured in July that Radiohead were doing the Spectre theme, but unfortunately it looks like we’ll have to dream about that one for a bit longer.
