The Pinkprint star heads to TV.

Nicki Minaj will executive produce and appear in a scripted comedy series based on her life growing up in Queens. Written by Sex Tape scribe Kate Angelo, the pilot will be filmed this winter with the series airing on ABC Family.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” Minaj says in a statement. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”

Minaj has acting experience: she studied acting at New York’s prestigious LaGuardia High School and appeared in 2014’s The Other Woman. [via Deadline]
