Plastician will launch a new club night, Survey, this Wednesday (September 30) at South London’s Phonox.

“Focusing on new electronic music”, the night will set sets from Nervous Horizon’s Wallwork and TSVI, The Future Beats Show’s Complexion, J.D. Reid, Kareful, Stooki Sound and Plactian playing back to back with a not-particularly-well-disguised special guest.

“I felt like one thing that was missing for me going out to various events in London was that most events lacked a sense of community”, Plastician tells us. “Particularly at the more cross-genre nights. So the idea behind this was to really try and concentrate on the community vibe and trying to being that back in for people producing experimental strains of bass music. There’s certainly a feel of it existing online on platforms like SoundCloud, but a place for all these new up-and-coming producers to perform and hang out in real life is lacking a bit.

“Some of the city’s events have produced some great mini scenes and stables – Boxed is a great example of how a hub for producers can create something special. I am hoping Survey can help unveil some really exciting talent too.”
