Expect a more “meditative and immersive” album than his debut.
Welsh-born producer Leif Knowles will release his second album on his UntilMyHeartStops label in November, Juno Plus reports.
Titled Taraxacum, the nine-track record contains tracks recorded in the two years since the release of his debut LP, 2013’s Dinas Oleu.
“I’ve found myself experimenting with some more meditative and immersive sounds, using relatively simple production techniques and incorporating a few live recordings of percussion and string instruments, field recordings etc,” Knowles explains of the record, which also includes a collaboration with fellow UntilMyHeartStops artist Duckett.
Though his debut album was released in 2013, Leif has been active since 2004, and part of the house and techno circle that surrounds the invite-only Freerotation festival.
Taraxacum is released on 2LP format on November 2 – in the meantime revisit FACT’s review of Knowles’ debut LP, Dinas Oleu.
