Rabit takes no prisoners on his latest remix.

Plaitum first popped up on a Kitsuné compilation back in 2012, but as the precocious Essex duo were only 17 at the time they decided to lay low, finish school and hone their sound for a huge return.

Still only 20, Abi Dersiley and Matt Canham have now readied their debut EP and an album for Paul Epworth’s Wolftone label, channelling their obsession with death, sex, horror movies and Talking Heads into a dark and grainy electronic pop in the vein of Purity Ring and Crystal Castles.

The first single ‘LMHY’ has just been given an extreme makeover by Houston’s Rabit, who chisels it into a spiky, unforgiving battle cry – and anything he gives attention to is probably worth yours too. Stream his remix below and look out for Plaitum’s self-titled EP in December.
